How to get Visa to Cambodia?

Before travelling to Cambodia, you get a Cambodia Visa you must first decide which type of visa you need. There are several types of visas: Tourist visa, Business or Ordinary Visa, Diplomatic Visa and the e-Visa. With the exception of the e-visa, the different types of visas that exist to enter Cambodia must be issued either at a Cambodian Embassy, an airport or a land border crossing.

Please make sure you prepare the following documents for your visa application process:
– Your original passport (must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in Cambodia)
– Two (02) passport size ID photos: 4x6cm or 2×2 inches
– Visa application forms (NA2 form for visa application at the embassy, Entry/exit form for visa on arrival)

 1) Tourists also can get their visas prior to their arrival through a Cambodian Embassy or Consulate overseas.

2)  Visa on Arrival Requirements:

The visitors to the Kingdom, visa are obtainable upon arrival at both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. At land crossing from Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, visa can be obtained at International Check Point border. To get a Cambodia Visa on arrival you will need:
– A passport that is valid for six months or more.
– Two empty pages in your passport.
– A completed application form; supplied on the plane, or, at the airport or land border crossing.
– A passport photo, although if you don’t have one immigration will scan the one from your passport for a $2 (£1.43) fee.
– The visa fee as mentioned above. This must be in US dollars.

You just need to hand the immigration staff your completed Cambodia visa application form, passport, passport photo and visa fee. They’ll process your application in about five to ten minutes whilst you wait, then give your passport back. It will have the visa inside and you’ll be good to go.

2) Tourists also can get eVisa through online E-Visa before travelling.

The Cambodia Electronic Visa (E-visa) enables travelers to apply for a Cambodia tourist visa online. It is available to citizens of all countries except citizens of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and Sudan. This visa allows a maximum stay of 30 days.

***The entry points to obtain Arrival Visa:

– Airports:
– Phnom Penh International Airport
– Siem Reap International Airport

***Visa Fees:

– Single entry visa fee for tourist (T) (30 days): US$ 30
– Single entry visa fee for business (E) (30 days): US$ 35

***Visa Exemption:

The nationals of the Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar do not need a tourist visa and may stay in Cambodia for 21 and 30 days respectively. Read more

***Visa extension:

The tourist (T) and business (E) visas can be extended at the Immigration Department, National Police. The Diplomatic (A), Official (B) and Courtesy (C) visas can be extended at the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A tourist visa can be extended only once for up to one month (single entry).
A business visa can be extended for:
– One month (Single entry)
– Three months (Single entry)
– Six months (Multiple entry)
– One year (Multiple entry)
– Overstayers will be fined US$ 10 per day.
