If you have never set out on holiday alone, it can be a daunting prospect. You won’t be lonely? Will you be safe? What happens if you get lost? Ect… For first-time tour joiners, here are some FAQS for Vietnam Solo travellers to help you decide if joining a group tour is right for you.

  1. What should I expect as a Vietnam solo traveller?

With arrival transfers included in all of our group tours. As soon as you arrive at each airport, the local guide will wait you at exit of airport and take you to hotel. You will meet the guide and the rest of the group in the morning when you start the tour.Even if you’re the only solo traveller on the tour you’ll find the rest of the group friendly and eager to include you. Travellers can make life-long friends on group tours and often keep in touch after the tour ends, sharing photographs and reminiscing on their experience.

  1. Will there be other solo travellers on tour?

Our tours attract a range of people of various ages and from different countries with a mix of solo travellers, couples and groups of friends travelling together. More often than not we have solo travellers on our tours across all destinations so you’re unlikely to be the only one though our reservations team can confirm how many other solo travellers are booked on the tour you are interested in.

  1. I don’t live in Vietnam– do I have to fly there to join your trips?

We normally have people from all over World and often from overseas, join our tours.

You will arrange the international flight in / out Vietnam. Then you will provide the time and date of your flight, we will arrange the other land tour in Vietnam.

  1. Can I extend my trip or go ahead of the group?

Yes, you can. For travelling Vietnam Solo Tours, You can start and finish your trip any time when suit with you.

  1. What is the average age of people on your trips?

Most of our trips are ‘open-age’ but tend to attract mainly mid 35’s – late 60’s.  Our tours are designed to suit travellers of a wide age range. Most of our trips involve a moderate level of activity, exploring historic sites, walking through local markets or walking in Old quarter etc. So you do need to be in good health and have a normal level of fitness.

  1. What is the ratio of male/females?

This varies on each trip. Some time there are more women than men or some time there more men than women travelling.

  1. What happens if I book on one of your tours and then find a friend who wants to come with me?

Your friend is always welcome to join the group.  If you’d like to share a room we will re-cost the tour price based on twin share rather than single occupancy.  If your friend wants a single room, this is of course, subject to availability at the time of booking

  1. How do I make a booking?

If you are going ahead with us. You will send to us the copy of your passport for booking the services for your trip. Then you will set 30% total of tour as your deposit. Then we will send to you the Confirmation Letter & Travel Voucher. Before your tour start around 10 days, I will send to you an email for reminder you and double check all the services one more time. Then when you arrive in Vietnam airport, the guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. You will seat and enjoy your trip.

  1. When do I have to pay my balance?

This varies depending on the tour, however it is generally when you arrive in Vietnam and start your trip.

  1. What if I get sick and can’t travel?

Your travel insurance will protect your deposit and any other monies paid should you need to cancel through unforeseen illness.

  1. What happens if you cancel the tour due to insufficient numbers, political instability or some other reason?

Your money is returned in full.

  1. Will I get much time to myself?

Normally the first day and last day of your trip and the evening. Take Vietnam solo tours, you will free time for the flexibility to choose locally offered activities or relax. In each day day of tour, you will start tour around 8:30 am and finish tour around 4:30pm – 6:30 pm (Depend on the activities of each day).

  1. Will there be other solo travellers on tour?
