1. How can I trust the quality of the tours that I buy from The Time Journeys?

2. Do I need a visa to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos & Myanmar?

Yes, you need to have Visa to these countries. Special note: Please make sure that you have your passport, that your passport is still valid for six months and contains two white pages

*** Vietnam visa

Before entry into Vietnam, you must have a Vietnam visa stamp or a Vietnam visa on arrival pre-approved letter. A tourist visa for Vietnam can be obtained from any Vietnam embassy or consulate office worldwide. This visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended through our head office in Vietnam.
Vietnam visa on arrival: The Time Journeys can arrange free for your visa upon arrival to Vietnam by sending you the visa on arrival pre-approved letter. With this letter you can get a Vietnam visa stamp upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang airport or Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi. This letter is a complimentary for our tour guests only. Upon arrival at your airport, you can expect to fill out a simple form and get Visa stamps. You will pay US Dollars 25 per person and kindly prepare two passport sized photos for each traveler. For doing Visa upon arrival to Vietnam, you send us a copy of your passport or your information as below for doing. It will be takes around 2 – 3 working day.

*** Cambodia visa:

You can get a Cambodia visa stamp upon arrival without pre-arrangements. When you arrive at airport or border gate, you show your passport and get Visa stamps. You will pay US Dollars 30 per person for Visa stamps fee and kindly prepare two passport sized photos for each traveler.

***Laos visa

You can get a Cambodia visa stamp upon arrival without pre-arrangements. When you arrive at airport or border gate, you show your passport and get Visa stamps. You will pay US Dollars 30 per person for Visa stamps fee and kindly prepare two passport sized photos for each traveler.

***Thailand visa

You can get a Cambodia visa stamp upon arrival without pre-arrangements. When you arrive at airport or border gate, you show your passport and get Visa stamps. You will pay US Dollars 30 – 40 per person for Visa stamps fee and kindly prepare two passport sized photos for each traveler.

***Myanmar Visa:

Before entry into Vietnam, you must have a Vietnam visa stamp or a Vietnam visa on arrival pre-approved letter. A tourist visa for Vietnam can be obtained from any Vietnam embassy or consulate office worldwide. This visa is valid for 30 days. When you get visa upon arrival from Myanmar Government. Upon arrival at your airport, you can expect to fill out a simple form and get Visa stamps. You will pay US Dollars 25 per person and kindly prepare two passport sized photos for each traveler.

3. Will I be traveling on a private tour or in a group?

  • The majority of our tours are on a private basis so it’s just you, your family, friends or group with your local guide. By traveling on a private basis you are less obtrusive when visiting local villages etc and you can really decide on what you want to see and cut out anything that is not of any interest. After all it’s your holiday and valuable time so make sure you get the most out of it!
  • We offer a selection of group day tours in Hanoi, Hue, Ho chi Minh city, Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta with a maximum of 12 people and also for those who are keen on volunteering you can sign up and join our tour.

4. Do children receive any discounted rates?

Yes, we apply the following discounts as below:

  • Children under 2 years are free of charge
  • Children from 2-6 years old: 50% adult price
  • Children from 7 – 12 years old: 75% of adult price
  • Children from 12 years old up: as the adult

5. Do children under 12 years old stay in the same room with their parents?

  • Generally children under 12 years of age stay in their parent’s room using the extra bed. The age requirement differs depending on the specific hotel’s policy.
  • Children more than 12 years of age: Any child this age is considered an adult by the travel industry. Normal charges will apply both for the room and the breakfast.
  • Free baby cots are only available for children under 2 years old upon request.

6. What is the booking process? (Step by step of booking)

You will spend 7 step:

  • Step 1: Sending us an requirement
  • Step 2: Revise proposal & quotation
  • Step 3: Book the services for your journey
  • Step 4: Sending you the confirmation letter & travel voucher
  • Step 5: Before your tour start around 10 days, sending you an email for reminder and double check all the service
  • Step 6: Meeting you for say hi and explain one more time for the journey
  • Step 7: Enjoy your vacation with The Time Journeys

7. How do I book with my credit card?

  • Our system will accept any VISA, Mastercard and American Express credit (including prepaid) for payment.
  • In instances when you use a credit card with an account name different from the lead traveler, we will require a copy of the card, the cardholder’s ID and an authorization letter. We may require additional documents in some cases.

8. How safe are my credit cards?

The importance of security for our clients is ofthe utmost concern to us. We exercise great care in providing secure transactions from your computer to our server.We use SSL and our site is secure for all transactions. Unfortunately, no transaction is 100% secure. We are committed to protecting you and your personal information and will continue to monitor security options in the future.

9. What is the latest time that I can make my reservation ?

  • We can only guarantee bookings made at least 3-working day (not including Sun & Public holidays) before the departure date.
  • We would advise you book the tour as soon as possible. Early booking to avoid disappointed.

10. What happens to my tour booking if my flight is delayed ?

Please inform us and the hotel immediately as any changes. The fee will depend on the hotel policy. We will also try our best to offer you similar ground services.

11. Is there someone pick me up at airport?

General all our tour package include pick you up and transfer you back to airport.

12. What is the luggage allowance?

Generally airlines allow each passenger 44lbs/20kg of checked luggage plus a carry on weighing around 15lbs/7kg, however this can vary from one airline to the next, so please check with your airline for details. If you have booked a low cost carrier yourself then you will need to pay additional fees for checked luggage.

13. What if need to cancel or change my itinerary?

  • For all bookings you will need to sign our terms and conditions on our reservation form. This clearly states our cancellation policy. We insist that all our clients have adequate travel insurance that covers them for cancellation and curtailment.
  • If you wish to change your itinerary after full payment has been made we will try our best to accommodate any changes but it depends on each individual supplier. We therefore take it case by case.

14. Do you recommend a Travel Insurance?

We strongly recommend that you buy travel insurance by yourself before you travel. The Travel Insurance will covers loss of deposit and other monies through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money, medical expenses, and additional expenses to cover hotel accommodation and repatriation costs should any services need to be extended or curtailed due to illness or other insurance risk.

15. Can I find cheaper prices if I wait and book directly when in country?

  • In Vietnam or other countries in Indochina, there are a range of budget tour operators that compete with bargain bottom-dollar prices, so you can always find a better price for any of these tours. You pay for what you get.
  • However, if you book the tour soon or before you go. We have time for organize the excellent guide who speak very good English/ French. The vehicles are in new condition, well-maintained. We organize the high quality restaurant and book the routine hotel inspections.

16. Can I have vegetarian food?

Yes, you can. You just inform us when you book tour

17. What meal is included? And what is the restaurant like?

The breakfast are always included in the hotel. Other meals are included as stated in the itinerary. Normally lunch
We arrange the best local restaurants in each place which were selected by our experiences, clients satisfaction and famous cuisine.

18. What are the check in and check out time?

  • The normal policy of hotels for check in time is at 14:00 hours and check out at 12:00.
  • Early check in or late check out is available depending on the room’s availability. An extra charge may be applied.
  • To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as much in advance as possible. Then you can sit back and relax.
