SAPA – FANSIPAN PEAK – CAT CAT VILLAGE – 3 DAYS

 

Summary:

Fansipan is called as “the Roof of Indochina” with the height of 3143m, the highest peak of the Indochina Peninsula. Although the summit of Fansipan is less than half of Mount Everest. Taking 3 days/ 4 nights tour. You will have 1 night spend sleeping soundly while nestled in amongst the rugged beauty.

It’s definitely not an easy trek but it promises marvelous views of the Hoang Lien mountain range and pristine natural beauty. Explore the diverse flora, enjoy beautiful orchids and wild flowers along the way or listen to the musical concert of insects.

Destination includes: Hanoi – Sapa – Fansipan Peak – Cat Cat Village

SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Night 1 : Hanoi – Sapa

8.00 pm – tour guide come to pick you up from your hotel then transfer to Ha Noi Railway Station and catch the night train to Lao Cai (overnight on the train, the cabin with 4 berths, soft sleeper and air-conditioning)., Arrive Lao Cai 5:30 or 6:00am.

Black H’mong Lady
Day 1: Lao Cai Station – Sapa – Fansipan at 2000 m above the sea level

The train arrives at around 6:00 am. Look for the “TTJ’s Logo & Your Name” sign when you exit the train station, as our guide will pick you up there and transfer to the former hill station of Sapa. In the terraced hills and mountains of this area, the expansive green landscape is enlivened by the colors of its hill tribe population – flashes of shining silver jewelry from the necks and wrists of indigo-clad H’mong and the scarlet hues of the turbans worn by the Red Dao can be seen. It is here you will find hands stained with color from fabric dyes and shades of blue, red and green intricately embroidered and stitched into jackets, waistcoats, pants, skirts, caps, purses and leggings.

After having breakfast at local restaurant, The guide will help you prepare the necessary luggage for your trekking trip. At 9:30 am: Take a car and drive of 15 km to Tram Ton Pass, is the highest pass in Vietnam. Arrive at Tram Ton Pass, you will check in the National Park and then start conquer the roof of Vietnam.  Climb through the primitive rain jungles, many small streams and bamboo forests, Local birds can be seen throughout this walk… Trek up to the the height of 2200m, Having picnic lunch and relax. Then keep on trekking up to the height of 2800m stop for setting up camp for the first night, dinner is cooked on the campfire. You will sleeping soundly while nestled in amongst the rugged beauty.

Day 2: The roof of Fansipan Mountain (3143m above sea level) - Sapa

After having breakfast, continue on to climbing to the summit by way of pine and yellow bamboo forests. After a couple of hours, around 10:00 am, you will successfully conquer the roof of Vietnam, Fansipan Mountain (3143m above sea level). Spend the time of your wish enjoying the splendid landscapes, fresh air from around the mountain at this virginal roof of Vietnam and Indochina. It is a specious chance for you to admire green forestry landscape to the North-West is small village areas belonging to Lai Chau province, the splendid rolling mountains; to the North East is the overall picture of Sapa town which is only seen from here. After enjoying the remarkable views, we commence the descent to 2800m and enjoy a picnic lunch there. We then trek on back down to Tram Ton Pass 2,000m,  the car pick you up and transfer you back to Sapa. Check in hotel and free time.

Day 3 : Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Sin Chai Village – Lao Cai Staion - Hanoi

Breakfast at your hotel. Free time for relaxing. Then you start the trip on foot to explore the Cat Cat and Sin Chai village of ethnic Hmong. You will discover Cat Cat village where you will visit hydropower station, waterfall of the Cat Cat village, and learn about the culture, customs and unique people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, carved silver, forged agricultural tools, to drag his wife…Then pick up from Cat Cat village back to Sa Pa town for walking tour of Sapa for a visit to the busy market where Red Dao, Black H’Mong, Tay and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their silverware and handicrafts, and to buy provisions. Around 6:00pm  the car pick you up and transfer you back to Lao Cai station for a night train back to Hanoi.

Day 4 : Hanoi arrive

Early in the morning, you arrive in Hanoi. The guide pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Your journey with The Time Journeys is now complete…
