THE NORTH VIETNAM OVERLAND EXPERIENCE – 11 DAYS

This tour is all-encompassing so you can try all that North of Vietnam has to offer. You will travel the roads, rivers, and trails of beautiful of North in 11 days tour. You will See the very best of North from Hanoi to Sapa for exploring the daily life of minority and colorful market. This 11 days tour covers everything you need to see and do for a truly incredible holiday in culturally rich Vietnam.

Destination Included: Hanoi – Sapa – Coc Ly market – Perfume Pagoda – Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Tam coc

SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1 : Arrive in Hanoi on flight ? (Client’s own tickets)

Upon arrival at the Noi Bai airport in Hanoi and after clearing immigration and customs, meet with your guide with a welcome signboard marked “The Time Journeys’s LOGO & your name. Then your tour guide will transfer to your hotel in centre. Then the guide bring you to visit Ethinic Minority Museum, the beautiful Temple of Literature, West Lake’s ,Tran Quoc temple and Quan Thanh pagoda.  Then take a cycle for visiting the bustling Old Quarter then free time.

Temple Literature
Day 2 : Hanoi - Sapa - Ma Tra – Ta Phin Village

Breakfast at your hotel. The guide pick you up and transfer you to Sapa. Arrive in Sapa, having lunch, after lunch, the guide pick you and Walking through the town for about 20 minutes before turning to a dirt road to Ma Tra Village, where inhabited by Black H’mong ethic. Continue trekking up the village and getting through paddies fields will lead you to an ancient Catholic abbey, built by French colonists. Walk 2 km more to reach Ta Phin Village for exploring the daily life of Red Dzao. Here you have a good choices to buy woven and textile brocades, which is made by ethic people and having picnic lunch before exploring village and Ta Phin Cave and small hamlet of Black H’mong people. Then back to Sapa. Free time.

Day 3 : Cat Cat – Lao Chai – TaVan – Y Linh Ho - Muong Hoa Village

Breakfast at your hotel, the guide pick you up and start for Visit Cat Cat Village – sin chai. Return Sapa for lunch. Then car transfer to Lao Chai Village. Trek Lao Chai – TA Van Village – Y Linh Ho – Giang Ta Chai. Car pick transfer back to Sapa. (Cat Cat to TaVan is 12km, 7hr trek).

Day 4 : Sapa – Coc Ly Market – Chay River - Trung Do & Bao Nhai Village (only in Tuesday)

Breakfast at your hotel, the guide pick you up and transfer to Coc Ly Market is a very small market where you will get the unique opportunity to meet several ethnic minorities such as the Flower H’mong, Black Dao, Phu La, Nung and Tay. You will see the ethnic people gather to buy and sell goods, dine and drink, or just wander to enjoy the ambience of the montagnard market by the Chay River. After spending around 2hours by car. Arrive the Coc Ly market; join local ethnic peoples of the morning to enjoy the exciting atmosphere as well as activities of this weekly market. Have lunch at local restaurant. Continue with the boat trip on Chay River. Enjoy scenic view from river and trek to Dzao, Tay minority villages. On the way back  stop halfway down the river to visit Trung Do Village, a village of the Tay minority people.  Take time to explore the farms where they grow exotic chillis and jack fruit. Sail a further 15 minutes down stream to Bao Nhai village. Continue on to  visit Vietnam – China International Border Gade. Return to Sapa. Free time.

Coc ly market
Day 5 : Sapa – Ham Rong – Haven Gate – Tram Ton – Hanoi

Breakfast at your hotel. The guide pick you up and clim to Ham Rong for visiting. Continue on to drive to visit Haven Gate – Waterfall  and Tram Ton – Fansipan. After lunch in Sapa, transfer you back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, check in hotel. Free time.

Sapa
Day 6 : Hanoi – Perfume Pagoda – Ninh Binh

Breakfast at your hotel. The guide pick you up and transfer to Perfume Pagoda. Arrive,  you take row-boat trip to go visit that land on the Yen stream “romantic time” about 1 hour to Thien Tru harbor. Then you will enjoy cable car  to Huong Tich cave on the top of the mountain. To see Golden-Silver tree rice stuck….One hour down. Lunch at the local restaurant at the bottom of the mountain. After lunch time, you will see the Heaven Kitchen pagoda and to know about Buddhism ancient architectural at Le Dynasty. Then you will come back by rowboat-trip and transfer to Ninh Binh. Arrive in Ninh Binh, check in hotel.

Boat trip on Yen River
Day 7 : Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Bich Dong Pagoda - Hanoi

Breakfast at your hotel and then we pick you up at your hotel, departure for Hoa Lu – Tam Coc, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way. After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu – the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. We will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple.

in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, we go to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu). Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch you will get on bamboo boat – rowed by the local people – in Hoang Long river to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way. You pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you witness local fisher folk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for. If you like to go biking, it is a good idea. You will have chance to visit real villages and amazing landscapes by bicycle about one hour (from Restaurant). Continue to visit Bich Dong Pagoda. Then take a car back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, check in hotel. Evening enjoy water puppetry. Then free time.

Biking in Tam Coc
Day 8 : Hanoi – Halong Bay - Titop island

After breakfast at your hotel. The private car and driver pick you up and transfer to Halong Bay. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. Get your camera ready to take photos. Comfort break. The time from Hanoi to Halong bay is approximately 3 ½ hours.

12 – 12.30 approx: Arriving Tuan Chau marina. Welcome aboard the cruise. Refresh with our welcome drink. Meet the captain, crew in the cruise briefing.  Check into your cabin. Time to refresh and unwind

Set sail as lunch is served. Join us for a typical local lunch in the dining room or at the outdoor dining area.

Afternoon: Arrive at Surprising Cave (Hang Sửng Sốt), explore the cave and find out how the cave was named a Surprising. Heading to Titop island area. Drop anchor in the calm water surrounded by beautiful islets. Visit Titop island for swimming and snorkeling or do the short trek to the top of island to have the overview of Halong bay from here. Heading back toward the sleeping area

Early evening: Summit on the sundeck watching the sunset, enjoy Sunset party. It’s ideal time to make acquaintance with new friends, sharing your traveling experience or simply watching the sunset. An authentic Vietnamese menu is served

After dinner, reward yourself with a large selection of cocktails at our bar, or take for you one of our onboard activities: book reading, games, movies, and squid fishing…

Halong Bay
Day 9 : Halong Bay – Ba Ham area or Tien Ong Cave – Cua Van Floating Village

06:30 am: For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body and there is no better environment to practice this than amongst the limestone peaks and islands. Local breakfast served. Transfer to smaller boat to explore Ba Ham (Ba Hầm) area. Visiting and swimming in a pristine natural water. Mingling yourself in the stunning views of the Bay and it’s dramatic limestone islets as we sail through the calm emerald waters heading to Cửa Vạn floating Village.

Arrive Cửa Vạn Floating Village: Our guide will brief you information and the highlights about this fascinating floating village and its local community. Take your comfortably capture the daily life of the fishermen on bamboo boat rowed by the locals. 12:00 approx: Lunch is served on board

Afternoon: Cruising to Visit the Peal Farm, you will have chance to witness the whole process to make a valuable pearl from first step of growing to harvesting pearl in Halong Bay. Return to your cruise, take time to refresh and relax

Kayaking in Halong Bay
Day 10 : Halong Bay - Hanoi

06:30 am: For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body, joining Tai Chi session to full charge your energy for the day.

07:00 – 08:00: Local breakfast is served

08:00: -Mingling yourself in the stunning views of the Bay and it’s dramatic limestone islets as we sail through the calm emerald waters heading to Luon Cave (Hang Luồn)

-Take your bamboo boat rowed by the locals to visit how beautiful of the cave

09:00 : Check out the cabins, at your leisure while our cruise taking you pass by other beautiful highlights in the bay.

10:00: You will join with our short class of Cooking demonstration, how to make spring rolls before an early lunch is served.

12:00: Return to the shore and disembark from the cruise as our crew say farewell. . Then transfer you back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, the guide will met you and take a bycyle along River for visiting Bac Bien Village, Duong river bank, ferry to left bank, ride between villages, bonsai trees, visit local people old house, local temple see Len Dong ceremony. Then free time.

Day 11 : Hanoi Departure flight ? (Clients’ own tickets)

Having breakfast at your hotel. Your time will be your own until your private car and driver arrives to take you to the airport for your flight to next destination. Your journey with The Time Journeys is now complete…
